Personal History Born in 2132 to a family of farmers in the former state of Iowa. She excelled in her primary and secondary education, and dreamed of nothing else other than going to the stars. She listened to stories of the Cochrane’s first warp flight, and dreamed about what wonders awaited humanity in the stars. Upon her graduation from High School she took the entrance exam for Starfleet Academy and was accepted.

As she wasn’t sure what she wanted her focus to be in Starfleet exactly, she was just sure that she wanted to be in the Sciences, Fiona initially only took a general science degree program to be a science officer at the Academy. About six months before she was due to get her commission as an Ensign and be sent out to the Fleet, she made a decision. Where as a lot of her classmates were hoping to get sent to Enterprise or Columbia, she applied to the Starfleet Medical School at John Hopkins in Baltimore, as she had finally decided she wanted to be a Medical Officer.

She was accept and started her training/residency at John Hopkins for the next four years before finally being assigned to her first ship, a Daedalus class vessel the Indianapolis. By this time the War with the Romulans had been waging for two years and Starfleet had started to suffer heavy losses in both personnel and material. The Indianapolis had been through three major engagements with the Romulans, and the hasty repairs were starting to show on both the ship and crew.

It was here that she met Jesse Turcotte, a young Lieutenant in charge of one of the secondary Phaser Batteries on the Indianapolis. Sparks flew between the two immediately, and within a couple of weeks of reporting on board, the pair were inseparable. In March 2159, the Indianapolis was sent to the Xi Campos System to reinforce a Starfleet Taskforce that was helping with the evacuation of the sector as the Romulans continued to expand their front lines. The Indianapolis was thrown into the thick of it upon arriving in the system. She was immediately jumped by four Birds of Prey, most of the crew in the Primary hull including Jesse and the Captain James Heater were killed immediately. Fiona had been in the Secondary Medical bay that had been set up in one of the cargo bays in the Engineering Hull when the attack occurred.

What she didn’t know was the Romulan fire was so fierce that it had severed the Indianapolis’ neck and both sections of the hull were forced to drift independent, with out power. The Romulans moved on to other elements of the Federation Fleet. With no contact with the Primary Hull, the ship was on emergency power. Fiona went about her duties as best she could as the Engineers did what they could to stabilize the situation. After 2 days of minimal power the Wake Island arrived and was able to evacuate the survivors, it was then that Fiona learned about the death of Jesse, and with no duties to distract her collapsed to the deck. During the two days, she was slightly injured when a plasma conduit ruptured during an engine test, and still carries a scar on her arm because of it.

For the remainder of the war she assigned as an Assistant Surgical Officer on board the Daedalus class starship Missouri. She participated in several of the final engagements including the Battle of Cheron. Following the war she had the opportunity to attended the Signing ceremony for the creation of the Federation at Archer Arena, however elected that after the stress of war she needed a few weeks off to her self. She took two months leave and returned home to Iowa to be a simple farmer for a while.

She returned to duty as the Assistant Chief Medical Officer on board the Intrepid Class ship Lassen for the next six years as the ship explored the border regions of the new Federation. In 2167 she was accepted and assigned to the USS Horizon for its five year mission into the unknown.
