Physical Description		Handsome, perhaps even overly so. His dirty blonde hair hangs loosely down to his ears and his beard is kept well-trimmed. His green eyes have a dark look to them from too many nights without sleep. His skin has the look of having been tanned at one time, but years indoors have caused him to become more pale. He has no tattoos or piercings and only a couple of fine scars from various injuries from his youth.

General Overview		Quiet and cool and almost painfully shy. He's remote and distant much of the time. He has a calm, soft-spoken bedside manner, preferring to avoid physical contact when he can, but if it means helping someone he puts all anxieties aside and simply does his job. When he does get close to someone he may speak more, but he prefers to listen instead. He rarely smiles, but when he does it is said to melt even the hardest of hearts.

Personal History		Born in the small town of Wellspring, Minnesota, Rowan had a rough childhood. His father was a cruel man and his mother did her best to hide it from prying eyes. He discovered very young, that if he wanted to avoid getting hurt, he needed to be all but invisible, not speak as little as possible, and not stand out. He did well in school, but not so well as to be noticed, this was intentional. His father would eventually be found out after he broke young Rowan's arm after a particularly violent spat. With his father at last out of the picture, he would begin to take care of his mother, though that was around the same time she was diagnosed with a highly aggressive strain of cancer. When he was old enough, and with the encouragement of his dying mother, he left Wellspring and attended college, quickly pouring himself into books and his newfound passion, cars. He was quiet and hardworking and soon graduated local college. He then applied for medical school and was accepted. Unfortunately, his mother would not be alive by the time he graduated from medical school. With nothing left for him on Earth, he submitted his application for Starfleet. His medical skills were at the top of the class, so he was accepted and a few short years later he would find himself in Space. He would bounce from ship to ship, slowly climbing the ladder in both position and rank.
