General News - Status Update - August, 2019 Edition

The following is a news item from Captain Gary Alexander.

Normally, I send these out on the first of the month (give or take a few days) to give an overview of everything that happened in the month before and of what our goals are for the upcoming month.

Crew

In the past months we gained three players:

Lieutenant Commander Nicholas Kincaid, XO
Lieutenant JG Alexandra Campa, Chief Helm Officer
Lieutenant JG Jennifer Bullock, Chief Armory Officer

Hopefully I will have our XO create a Wiki for us while I just try to become competent at Nova. If you have any thoughts or want to assist, let us know!

Sim

July was a transitory month. We had three posts as our new crew settles in! However, we can be better. I would like to get a Chief Medical Officer before I officially get us lost. Once we leave our galaxy, we can't get replacements, so we need some solid writers. If anyone has ideas, please let me know.

In the meantime, I will probably advance the plot a year to the point where we are about to get lost after Horizon's visit to Sigma Iota II.

Horizon is getting ready to explore. It is still in drydock.

Objectives

Launch on its five year mission.

Player of the Month

With three posts, I cannot in good conscience nominate a player of the month this month.

Ideas
