Mission: Mission 0 - Pre-Sigma Iotia II
Location: Main Engineering
Timeline: 2168/8/15 1800

Jordan checked the repair requests that had come in from over the ship. He felt that these repairs, plus repairs in main engineering, should have been comrepair lpleted sooner then the were being worked on. So he ordered the entire engineering staff to report at 0600 hours, and gave them new orders. He held up his tricorder with a list of repairs that needed to be taken care of today!

"This repair list, by all accounts, should have been completed by now. I've been taking things easy on you latley, but that changes today. Everyone, and I mean everyone, will be completing these requests by the end of today!" He looked at the assembled crew and could see they weren't happy to hear this. Jordan pointed to a table. "Here are all the requests on these tricorders. Everyone will take one, and make the necessary repairs. When you are done, you will return here and take another one. If you can't finish the assignment, or if you need help, come to me. Of course, any failed repairs will reflect on your continued assignment here in engineering." He dropped the tricorder he had in his hand onto the table. "Get started...the clock is running."

Everyone lines up to pick up a tricorder, then got to work.

Jordan returned to his office and sat behind his desk.

Someone knocked on his door. "Enter!" He looked up and saw Ensign Noah Cole, one of the science officers on board. "What can I do for you, ensign?"

Noah walked towards the desk. "The grapevine says you might need some help with repairs. I am here to offer my help, such as it is."

Jordan motioned to the seat opposite his desk. "You think you can help us in some way? You're a science officer."

"I minored in engineering at the academy. I think I know the difference between a stem bolt and a circuit board, sir." replied Cole.

"Then go help yourself to a tricorder and see if it's in your area of expertise."

"If you don't mind me saying, lieutenant, you seem tired." Cole responded.

"I've been working 18 hour shifts trying to keep this bucket going. I'd hoped that the crew would have picked up some of my slack...I was wrong." Jordan looked at him. "I have better things to do. One being, I would like to get to know one of the female crew...better. One being the captain's yeoman, Karina Tell."

"I think you should forget about her. Scuttlebutt says that she only has eyes for the captain." Cole responded.

"Really? Too bad. The helmsman then, Campa? She seems very nice." Jordan asked.

"Yea she seems to be. I've passed the armory officer a few times in the corridor, Jennifer Bullock. I want to ask her out but I can't seem to find the words." replied Cole.

"Well, guess we both have to gather our wits and strength and ask them to coffee or dinner or the movie." added Jordan.

Cole stood. "I'll get started on those request, sir." He turned and headed out of the office.

Jordan got back to work on paperwork.
