A new adventure

Mission: Mission 0 - Pre-Sigma Iotia II
Location: Star Fleet Headquarters
Timeline: 2167/07/11 1330

Jenn was packed, in a neat and clean uniform and ready to go. She still had thirty minuets before she had to leave for the shuttle. This was the hardest part. Having been posted back on Earth she was able to get back together with Tia, but now things were changing. Rather than hurt by waiting for what may never come, the two agreed to split up and just try to keep in touch. Never the less, that didn't stop either woman from making their last night together one for the record books.

The shower stopped and after a few minuets Tia stepped out wearing just a towel. Her short red hair was still wet and drops of water rolled down her face and cheeks highlighting her naturally rosy cheeks. The two stood and looked at each other, staring intimately into each others eyes. Tia had deep dark emerald green eyes that showed the pain and sorrow of an entire world at this very moment. Jenn promised she wouldn't cry but the swelled up ocean of tears being retained by Tia's eyes made it impossible for Jenn to keep that promise. Soon tears were streaming down both women's faces like rivers.

Tia ran and embraced Jenn like she was never going to see her again. Then again, Jenn knew it was very possible the two never would see each other again. Jenn wrapped her arms around the woman and the two held each other for what seemed like forever, though in truth it was only a few moments. The two kissed each other deeply, the pain, sorrow, fear, love, and longing for each other flowing between the two in their passionate embrace. Finally they separated and Tia parted her lips to speak, but Jenn put one finger across them and shook her head. With out saying a word she mouthed out 'I know and I love you too'. Then, before she lost all will, she grabbed her bag and rushed out the door. Before the door slid shut she herd Tia fall to pieces. She wanted to turn back, to embrace her love and comfort her, but she knew if she did she would never report to her new assignment. Instead she rushed off to the shuttle.
